2022 VIRTUAL ORIGIN TRIP
Last year, with Covid-19 making travel unpredictable, we shared a Virtual Origin Trip to connect our friends around the world with the action and beauty of the busy coffee harvest season in Guatemala. This year, things are different in some ways and not so different in others.
The global pandemic continues to challenge us when it comes to travel. On one hand, we want to welcome visitors back to Guatemala in a safe, healthy way - we miss you and some of you are ready to travel! On the other hand, new variants, travel requirements, and sudden itinerary changes are still a constant consideration for all of us. The Omicron variant has hit Guatemala hard, and we are monitoring the situation carefully in order to ensure the safety of our team, our producer partners, and visiting roasters. For those that aren't ready to visit Guatemala yet, we want to build on what we learned last year and present the stories of the 2022 harvest to you in the form of our 2022 Virtual Origin Trip.
Our goal is to use technology to connect our friends around the world with what's happening in Guatemala this harvest season. You can view videos of our entire value chain in stunning detail, we'll present webinars to continue the discussion of the state of the coffee industry in Guatemala, and we will share the latest updates from producers across the country. And best of all, everyone is welcome - from the new barista on the team to the seasoned coffee buyer.
